When I print from powerpoint the image on the paper is
double or trippled in the same square. The outer edge of
the picture is the same size but there is many of the
same picture in that square. Does anyone know what is
wrong? I am using Office 2003. It is also working fine
from other computers. Thank you.

This seems to be a problem between PowerPoint and certain printer drivers.
I don't know of any solution offhand. If you have Acrobat or Microsoft
Document Image Writer (part of Office 2003) you might try printing to either of
them then printing from their apps to the printer.

Not that I know of. The fix will probably have to come from the printer
manufacturer rather than from MS/Windows. I'd keep an eye on their tech support
site and I'd certainly report the problem to them if there's any mechanism for that.

If there's no pressure from users for a fix, there won't be a fix; you can count on
that.

Steve,
I, too am haveing the same issuewith printing from Powerpoint2003. When we
(the executives I just upgraded to 2k3) print to color LaserJet printers
(offhand, a HP4550 and one other), th situation with the graphic occurs.
It only happens when printing to these models; it is fine on a B&W printer
and fine on-screen
I found a KB article from MS suggesting that the Postscript driver is at
fault, and to change to another version of PostScript. Why isn't it a
Microsoft problem? It's the only program that exhibits this problem.

Look at it this way: If you explain your problem in Spanish and I reply in Swedish,
whose fault is it that we don't communicate?

This may be the same sort of situation. This problem doesn't occur when printing
from PowerPoint to the majority of printers, including Postscript printers. The
problem doesn't occur when printing from the majority of apps to this specific
printer.

It's apparently some behavior in the PS driver supplied by HP that triggers the
problem in PPT. If it works ok with the MS and Adobe PS drivers and with genuine
Adobe PS printers but not with a specific HP model, it probably means that HP will
have to find and fix the problem. I'd expect that MS would cooperate with them in
this, certainly.

None of which helps you solve the problem at hand. Ouch.

Have you tried a different PS driver?
