Can't add animation to text in a table

I have tables in my presentation and want in my slide show for the table to
appear row by row - i have tried to add this via 'animation' but it brings in
the whole table. I have 6 rows in each table.

The only way you can do this is by selecting the table, copy it, paste
special bacl as an enhanced metafile. Now ungroup (if need be several
ungroups) the inserted metafile, once ungrouped select the individual rows
and regroup, then animate with custom animation.
Do this on a copy of the slide, so you can revert back to the original table
if need be.
