Hello

Using Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2000, SP-3, created a new
presentation today, everything going fine for awhile. Create new
slide, Title slide..... but now, want to edit Title Master and cannot.
under View, Master, Title Slide is greyed out. Master, Handout and
Notes are available to click.

Tried everything i could think of, delete everything on Slide Master,
restart program, try to create Title Master right away, nothing.....

anybody....?

It's grayed out because you don't yet have a Title Master. Go to View > Master
Slide Master and then go to Insert > New Title Master.

I tried to insert new TITLE master as suggested. I could insert number of
TITLE slides, where formatting different than Master slide could be applied.
But while viewing Master slide toolbar, I still see only three master slides,
namely MASTER, NOTES MASTER and HANDOUT MASTER. "TITLE MASTER" entry still
does not appear on the toolbar. Pl help

When you go to View > Master > Slide Master you will see all slide masters in
the left hand pane. Once you've added a Title Master you will see two
thumbnails. The bottom one is the Title Master and the one above it is the
matching "general" Slide Master. They are both "slide masters", but the Title
Master has different placeholders. Click on the thumbnail of the Title Master
and you will see it in the center pane. Click on the thumbnail above it and you
will see different placeholders designed for the body of your presentation.
